    I just need to get two references

    A colleague got placed via a recruitment agency, among many things they asked for references from past employers.
    He just ignored that and some other similar request that were clearly about a person, rather than establishing b2b trust.
    There were numerous stressful points - they sent a strong reminder on the day the first invoice was due, he kept ignoring.
    Now some months have gone through and he's happily invoicing and they finally let go.

    He knew he was in the right on this, but IMO it does take some to stick to it.
