Yet the UK has a defence budget is 14 time greater than that of Sweden!!
We're such Bureaucrats, taking wrong turns at every opportunity just so people will vote for whoever is in power. It's a right old mess. Toffs at the top, plebs policing the streets and me in the middle making a fat pile of cash.

Its nothing to do with government, the MOD have for years overspent, bought useless tulip or made bad decisions. They got their planes smashed up as they went miles over budget and were years late.
Defence spending in this country is appropriate for its size. You all like to winge about folk on the dole making do and eating well on benefits then are happy to see a bunch of half wit majors piss billions up the wall time after time. Hypocrisy it is.

A £4 billion project ends up in the crusher
They've closed down most of the RAF bases in Scotland so would have been nowhere to put them anyway.
All from a Conservative led government that wraps itself in the Union flag at every opportunity.
Mindblowing really

So a submarine can come right up on our coastline and we know nothing about it? Our defences must be an utter shambles, and yet we're building Naval ports in the middle east, dragged into US wars we've no business. Enacting laws that water down our human rights in the name of terrorism and yet this is happening. What the hell is going??
Sweden, lessons learned please? We're clueless.
BBC News - UK called on Nato help in sub search
Biggest laugh is these two new aircraft carriers the RN is getting. Not the fact that one will be mothballed. Not the fact ther'll not be an RN Fleet Air Arm (or RAF) to fly off them. Not the fact that they will 'invite' US planes to fly off them or rather one of them for 2 years.
No, its the fact, as anyone with a modicum of sea warfare knows, a carrier needs an escort of 4 frigates or destroyers to protect it. And guess what, we wont have enough ships to fulfill those duties in addition to the RN's other naval patrols.
You couldnt make this tulip up.

These days one drone at Heathrow could cause huge damage.
Heathrow is in more danger of damage operating at capacity 24/7.
