    No wonder, thats the middle of nowhere, they don't even speak proper German there. I was actually down near there a few weeks ago as an old friend, English in fact, lives there who used to be the bass player for Manfred Mann and now plays quite a few gigs in that area. Good wine though...

    It was not our intention to take over Germany - we did not want to repeat mistakes of Versailles treaty.

    Germany wanted - and still wants to - rule the world. At the moment they are taking to do it via the Euro. Amazing that South Europe falls for it.

    Everyone in Germany speaks English. Modern businesses run English courses. English is very much a sought after skill.
