IF I worked in call centre like that I think I'd just tulip myself one day to see how they liked that.

That wouldn't put off the fakirs though.Originally posted by JRCT View PostUseless fact of the day:
At the turn of the 20th century, mine workers would have to give their employee ID disk to a toilet monitor whenever they visited the loo who 'clocked' them in and out. They were given 5 minutes a day free, then docked pay after that.
Many of the toilets had rusty iron spikes on the wall so no-one would lean back and have a little sleep. Nice

If people started to put chamber pots under their desk and using them whilst on the phone I bet they would change their mind
I wonder who the call centre serves. That would be interesting to know.

Bridgend call centre staff face toilet break charge says MP - HR Grapevine
Call centre staff are being taxed for their ‘toilet visits’ an MP has revealed.
MP Madeline Moon from Bridgend said one constituent found that £50 was taken from his month’s pay for bathroom breaks.
She said that the employees were given “copious amounts of water” which allowed them to continue speaking to customers, but at the same time they were being “fined” for their toilet visits.
The TUC recently noticed that workers do not have a legal right to ‘toilet visits’ whilst at work without losing pay
Trade unions are requesting the law be changed by calling for their workers are given specific legal rights, aiming to allow their workers to be able to use the toilet without pay deductions.Tags: None
