Marriage Laws
You will have read some time ago that living together couples will now/soon have the same legal rights as married couples. The Government wants you now to think that it's protecting women etc and covering this up as a form of rights law.
Wrong.....it's main reason is if you owe any money and have equity in your house, you cant hide behind joint mortgagees, so effectivley you are both responsible for the debt so you can both lose your house to coverthe debt.
This mainly relates to the Inland Rev.
