    I remember reading the last line above was purported to be a sort of acronym for 'It Is Time To Move To South Australia.....' or something.....

    Anyone checked the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam to see if the letters aren't the first of every word in some verse.

    Maybe the guy just liked the poem and wanted a brief aide memoire for his favourite verses.
