OK - I finally gave in and googled it like every other f***er in the country - it's the Minster for Big Society so I was partially right with my guess above.
Thought it sounded ok at the time (that was before I thought he was an effete suit full of hot air) but I guess it was quite cynical really because all those volunteers would be doing the jobs that were put to the sword by the cuts.

Most in the UK want to be part of a common market - not the EU.
And these days our partners out East are far more important that Europe for trading. We need to tap growth markets while there is some respect for UK. India et all.

Thing is that stuff is all tame now as even Nu Labour were up to some of it. They have to invent new ways of unacceptable sexual behaviour while an MP.
