I only use Qdos to review mine.

My accountant offers a review service, but I've never used it - I read the contract and highlight the areas I think may be a problem, and see what Qdos say.

Another vote for QDOS, and my accountants also review - as has been said, a second pair of eyes (and for no additional charge) can only be a good thing......
If nothing else, getting the contract reviewed and subsequently basing your accounting approach on the results *should* at least show you haven't tried to evade tax, merely avoid, should the fan become splattered with tulip

Another vote for QDOS. Excellent service.

And, as has been mentioned, number free if you buy insurance through them (and they're cheapest I've found anyway).

Even if you think you know what you are looking for, the independent view makes a difference. I know this from experience. I have found QDOS to be very good, and they do a 24hr turn around for a reasonable fee.

No harm if you're using it as a second pair of eyes, but the definitive review should come from the professional reviewer, not your accountant.

Any day now I am expecting to receive my second contract. Is it worth paying (i.e. QDOS) to review the contract on my behalf?

Up until recently I didn't know this service existed, so my first contract I just read myself. Just wondering what peoples general thoughts/experiences are.

I expect you haven't got PI/PL insurance either. If you get that through QDOS you get a number of free reviews a year. Sticking your head in the sand with regard to contracts and IR35 is a very poor approach.

Maybe time to re-scan the newbie sections to the right to see what else you might not know about.

How much do you know about IR35? Maybe a re-cap and a search through the forums on the key aspects wouldn't be a good idea as well.

Are you an expert on on the commercial and IR35 aspects of contracts? If no to either of these, get the contract reviewed professionally. QDOS (one of many review services) will cover the IR35 angle. Don't forget the primacy of working practices w/r to IR35 or the commercial aspects of the contract.
