    Agent or Payroll?

You mention you have a job already so I presume you don't want an agent in the sense of recruitment agent but someone to do payroll and be your ""employer" for official purposes?

I use Manpower for that - CHF 37 per day and they pay a couple of days after submission of timesheet. The quick payment may, however, be due to them having a close relationship with my client.

There will probably be cheaper payroll services than that out there but there are also some more expensive ones too. Avoid any of the weird and wonderful schemes based out of Cyprus or Ireland involving overpayment of pensions and money funnelled through third countries - those shenanigans might be worthwhile in high tax countries but it's not worth it in Switzerland.

If you do actually want the spiv variety of agent then bear in mind you don't need one in Switzerland. You have to be employed by a Swiss company and that can be your own GmbH or a payroll company but there is no obligation to have a barrow boy in there as well. In fact, I believe you can sack your recruitment agent once he's made a "reasonable" commission - 12 months or something like that. However, IANAL, Swiss or otherwise.

I use Hays. I'll send you a PM with contact details. Commission rates are negotiable, but they pay 30 days after invoicing (if you want earlier, then the commission is higher).

I've found that they are consistently higher quality (in terms of agents, roles and other contractors) than any of the other agencies in Basel.
