It makes sense to come off the FRS anyway in this situation because the subcontractors will charge VAT to you and you will want to reclaim this.

Just not worth it. Walk away.

I am sure every contractor on the planet has had this idea and the fact that I don't know one single person that has done it speaks volumes.

Subcontracting opportunity - how do I capitalise

    Hi,

A couple of roles are becoming available in the organisation I'm contracting for and it feels like it could be an opportunity.

Seems like I should find some people to fill these roles and then subcontract and add a margin.

Does anyone have any experience of doing this and any tips they could provide.

I did a search and found a couple of posts (inc. http://forums.contractoruk.com/busin...iece-work.html) but it's be great to some more detailed info.

    Thoughts?
