Shorter, better paying contract?

I threw a week at a contract in Europe, mid-contract at previous client co for double rate, but had to pay hotel, flights etc, still ended up around 1.5-1.75x main rate..

Was a really nice change.

Just something to aware of is that a lot of short term contracts on a CV can get frowned upon by potential clients. It really shouldn't be that way because its the LTD company's bottom line that is key to a business' progress but unfortunately some agents / clients have a tendency to interpret a CV with short term contracts with incompetence.

Those Agent are the incompetent ones .. - in contracting there is no such thing as too short contract. Thats why its called contracting .. if they want 4 years contract role on your CV they should probably look for a perm worker.

I have had a role which paid £500 for 4 days doing SCCM installation.. are you saying i shouldn't put that on my CV? really?

It will only be two month, the current one is supposed to run for at least another 4months, but then I think I'd prefer 2 month hard work +2 months on the bench (in Hawaii) than 4 months hard work

I think double is really huge.. - if you are confident enough to do that role .. i think you should go for it..(It might also be extended ... you neva know )

It happens a lot on here. One person asks something and mysteriously a post asking exactly the same thing appears up to a day later... It seems to be the way it is.

Only you know what is best for you based on your personal circumstances. Any bit of advice you will get will be based on that posters situation so potentially useless advice for you....
