The consultancy (my client) wants feedback from their client on all the guys on site. I've made sure there's no reference to 'personal development'.Originally posted by PaddyWhen I was contracting with CapGem a manger wanted to the same for contractors. I went and had a chat with him about how contractors operate. He was quite taken back because he was under the impression that than we contractors were temps supplied by a consulting service (the agent). The feedback idea was scraped.

It doesn't (or rather, shouldn't) affect your IR35 status with the client, but might affect your IR35 status with the consultancy (since they are treating you like an employee).Originally posted by PondlifeHi Folks,
I have been asked by my client (big consultancy) to get feedback from their client on my performance so far. The form is one of their standard employee evaluation forms although it doesn't actually have the word employee on it.
I am outside of IR35 (and would like to keep it that way)
Have others been asked to do similar and what does it do to your IR35 status?
Thanks
Getting customer feedback is good practice anyway, so I suggest that you create a copy of their feedback form on your company's headed paper, then provide that to the consultancy company. That way, it re-inforces the message that you work for yourco (whilst still satisfying their need to get the feedback from the end-client)

surely being outside IR35 you have no real manager to "evaluate" you, unless its your Ltd company? File13
