I don't put my current gig on linked in until after I've left.

Mine just has me as director/consultant of MyCo, a list of 'services' offered, and examples of recent work without mentioning the client name.

I might name drop in an interview if I think it will help but very rarely have I been actually questioned about 'who' a past client was and agents are just fishing so they can take a hike anyway.
I do, on one of my CV's.

I have just coded an app to generate my CV in HTML or PDF format, and depending on supplied command line options will include/omit client names, my contact details, and current project being worked on.

I generally dish out the version with no client names on at first. Will add client names if they really need it.

    This.

Besides, I think just having your co name might look like you've made your work history up. I used to put client co and their location on my cv but dont now.

I always put the end client on my CV/LinkedIn as it looks much better and will probably stand out more

For all my roles I have my position at Blue Chip Co \ consultancy (if there is a consultancy) and my Ltd Co then, where Im between contract, my position at my Ltd Co.

I toyed with the idea of placing my co first then client but decided to go with the former.

A CV for me is an overview my experience to showcase my skills and abilities. I didn't do the work for the consultancy, I did it for the client..... so it is client for me. I have, however, been open about the relationship to the consultancy when discussing my experience either by phone or by interview. I have also, when applying to another consultancy to client gig worded my CV such that it states something like 'Working through a specialised consultancy to deliver..' and so on as the experience of working via the consultancy would be of relavance in that situation.

    Client only for me.

Some big corp name sounds a lot better than some unheard of consultancy.

I stick both on for previous gigs

For the current/last one I only stick on the consultancy
