    Picked up my first contract in Dec. last year. Started the job in Jan. Had Christmass off and enjoyed it knowing I had a new gig to go to in the new year.

    IMO July/August is the worst time. Everyone else is on holiday and the people left behind are trying to get away with doing as little as possible so they can leave early and enjoy the weather.

    November? Surely no one hires before christmas, therefore guaranteed to be out of work until the new year. AND the weather's sh!t so you can't enjoy the time off.
