Notice Period for Contracts?

Agency pushing for 28 days, whilst I would prefer 14 days (gives me some flexibility). The 28 days would hold me back as most times contract has ended early I have have 14 days notice max from agency.

Did a search could not find anything specific to this matter.

The number of days varies from client to client and your negotiating skills.

Do a search for notice period. This is discussed endlessly, particularly the IR35 bit.

If you don't like it negotiate it. At the end of the day if they don't want you it's irrelevant. They put you on notice and don't give you any work so you don't get paid anyway. If they honour it then you have a bonus.

What do most people have n their contracts for notice period?

Agency sent through a contract for 28 days, which seemed longer than I expected as I normally work to 14 days. Does this have an IR 35 implications?
