Oracle ebusiness or BI , which one is in demand

Are you going to have solid experience in these areas? They are looking for specialists or at least very experienced people to fill the roles offered. Being good at Oracle and had a little experience of the rest won't cut it. You have to have some demonstrable experience that will put you ahead of the next guy, who is probably an experienced contractor having delivered a number of pieces of work similar to the one you are both applying for. Skilling up is one thing, proving you can deliver is quite another.

hi

im an oracle dba with failry broad and deep experience with oracle technology,
im thinking of expanding my skills further and gaining couple of new skills before
i head for contracting, i have identified couple of areas to focus on


1. oracle BI / ms sql BI
2. or Oracle E-Business Suite 12
3. ....

I am a little bit unsure about following

* pay rate
* market demand for each of above
* their suitability and whether can be handy skills to have for dba contractor

i personnaly feel ebusiness is difrentt to my dba background/ and not my specialized area.
where as with BI I think its one of the natural moves and can come very handy in soon future,
do you guys agree ?
can you guys add any other important areas to the list that im missing ?

Im already experienced with typical dba tasks : performance tuning, rac, data guard etc.. have managed various build and implementations projects.
