My intention was to be looking at things like restrictions on going direct (length of time after the current contract), adding detail on what I am going in to do to the contract, fair/reciprocal notice etc.

I read this as a new contract has been reviewed and flagged for certain changes, as if its an renewal changes your contract mid term will not effect IR35 status as your working practices won't change. If I am right in my assumption any time I have approached a blood sucking parasite, sorry agent, about changes before signing a contract they have been happy to accommodate.

You mean at renewal or mid contract? I would guess you don't have a chance of doing in mid-contract and pretty slim if these changes are to suit you at their loss at renewal. Aston Carter don't have the best reputation around as it is. Bit late to be making IR35 changes now isn't it?Last edited by northernladuk; 5 July 2012, 07:44.

Aston Carter - Do they accept reasonable requests to modify contract?
Dealing with Aston Carter. Might come down to negotiating a contract soon. Do they have an open mind to accepting reasonable modifications for IR35, notice, restrictions on going direct etc?Tags: None
