I have been faking it for over 4 years now, at least £1k saved up so far, potentially millions in lawsuits coming up for that minor LIBOR fixing thing....

In QDOS, Professional Indemnity insurance for 1 Year for £2 Million in any one claim will cost £186.

But make sure you're comparing like for like. The risk is the same, so if the premium is different, they aren't inusuring the same things. FWIW I'm paying a shade over £400 for full fat PI through Randell Dorling. Then again, I'm not a programmer.
