I did this and it took literally a few hours. They came back with a serious red flag and the client/agency changed the contract accordingly.
Most clients will wait as they appreciate you have a professional process to go through. If they will not wait then there might be something fishy going on - either way you have to make a judgement call on it.

I had my contract checked recently. It took Qdos < half a day.
There's nothing wrong with getting the contract checked over. You don't have to go into too much detail. Just say to agent/client you're checking the contract and will get back to them.

I always use Bauer & Cottrill. Far more professional imo.
As regards clients waiting, some will, some wont.

I sent my first contract for review with Qdos, I'd told the agent that I as going to before they'd got the contract to me. The client didn't have a problem with waiting.

You were doing great up until this point.Originally posted by stek View PostHave you looked at HMRC's success rate wrt to IR35? Given most decent agencies' contracts make a reasonable stab at being outside IR35, why worry?
Short three-monthers, the odd six-monther, no problem for me no matter how the contract is worded, that's not disguised employment.
...and then you blew it.Originally posted by stek View PostIt's the twelve-monthers, two years on site folks that should worry, and if you want that, go permie...
Following that line of thinking, I should have gone permie 23 years ago.
Thankfully, I didn't.
(And yes, I know IR35 wasn't around then. Still...)

Why should they worry? length of time is irrelevant.Originally posted by stek View PostShort three-monthers, the odd six-monther, no problem for me no matter how the contract is worded, that's not disguised employment.
