I don't agree to the last sentence. It would be virtually impossible to move roles with multiple agents involved. They would invoke the handcuff clauses just to stop you moving from them to another agency and be bloody minded about it. I also can't see why Hyphen would let you move roles internally, it is a ball ache for them and no benefit. It would in fact be extra hassle to the client for no extra return.LBG has such a huge turnover that I wouldn't worry about leaving a bad rep from moving on then coming back in the future. But moving in-house may be difficult due to Hypen being the gatekeepers these days. When it was multiple areas and multiple agencies it wouldn't be a problem to be fair.
The only way I can see you getting around this is threaten to walk, and I don't mean the normal empty promises. You might get your move but again your rep won't be worth squat for it.
No harm in trying I guess but not the best thing to do IMO.

I got stiffed by a similar policy when I got my current contract. I was offered the contract, and another one for the same client came in in a different dept, but I wasn't even allowed to apply because my name was already in the system for the one I was offered.Originally posted by Bluebird View PostOk, so I am currently on my 3rd stink with LBG, however the role is not that good, nor is the location - the work is not really what I was led to believe it would be.
A better role has come up which I want to apply for, there is only a 7 day clause on my contract, so getting out is not a problem.
The only issue is that Lloyds seem to have a set of rules about engaging contractors that have worked for them before [ or as in my case are currently working for them ].
Has anybody else been able to circumvent this process and get round these things?
Thanks
No way around it for me. Just finishing 12 months and on for another 6 now.Last edited by Scrag Meister; 28 February 2012, 10:40.

You have kinda shot yourself in the foot whatever their processes are by leaving them in the lurch. You entered in to a contract and are not going to honour it so why should they even consider you for any future roles?
You accepted the contract, the role, the location. You are doing well getting end to end contracts. You want to spoil that in this climate? The new role better be a doozy...

If it's sub'd in e.g. WIPRO then you're fine but if going back through Hypen you may have problems, although they're more concerned about those that were perm within LBG in the last 2 years.
