I've seen a lot of this lately, and it's made even worse by the fact that agents are reluctant to confirm client before putting candidates forward.

I would just ask agent A to put you forward. If agent B has not got back in a month, someone is stalling.

If you've interviewed already client should recognise you and tell agent A they've seen you already. If you didn't get interview maybe you didn't get through first time, and going through agent A you have another bite at the cherry.

Also the fact that A has come to you some time after the original opening implies the client hasn't got any suitable candidates and is widening the net...

Have just had an agent (A) that I have worked through before contact me about a role which is a good skills match but I think I have been put forward already by agent(B), back in the middle of January.

Weekly I have chased the agent B both for the state of the application and to get confirmation that they are on the PSL and work on a fixed rate margin.

Agent B tells me there is no response from the hiring manager and he also hasn't given confirmation of the relationship between the agent and the client.

Having worked for Agent A before I am more than happy for them to represent me but not sure what the situation is with agent B. Just feels agent B is not got enough fire in his belly or he is dodgy.

    Ideas?
