Apologies to admin and others for being a bit blunt. I do however think it's weird that people who are NOT interested put so much effort into just cluttering with all kinds of de-moralising comments. Not for you? - we'll, live happily ever after and let those who are interested alone.
I don't se anything wrong with the rate - it's the rate I've been working for in that location, and although not the best rate, certainly not the worts either. It's very balanced and actually just rigth considering the task (that you haven't bothered to inform yourselves on).
I do think that contractors should put more effort into getting organised and pass ops. on to eachother, rather then burning energy on whinging when someone extends his hand.
Perhaps this is why some contractors are so OWNED by missbehaving agents?

Thanks for replying...
Sure! Send a CV to l0g0zz@hotmail.com . OK to not to disclose clients if you wish (as I am not, like many agents, trying to just harvest it), but I will ba asking for some references. But they can be historical, though.... More importantly, provide a link to your linkedin profile, and I'll get back to you there.Originally posted by SchumiStars View PostI am an experienced SQL developer. For Swindon its not a bad rate but year for such a small assignment its stupid money. Headache comes to mind. To be fair he said there could be extensions.

Experienced SQL Server (full stack) needed quickly
I’m looking for a senior person that covers the entire SQL Server BI stack (heavy SSIS and SSAS including MDX – not so much SSRS) to be swapped into the remaining time of an on-going contract. Duration 03/01/2012 – 15/02/2012. Nice with a bit of .NET/ C Sharp (MVC would be advantageous).
You will quickly pick up a new solution and hang around to give support if needed. You may be asked to do some small alterations and perhaps start making some changes as a result of a completed new requirements gathering exercise.
You will be working through me (i'm a contractor) and I will be accessible to give support to you throughout the engagement.
If interested, there should be a good prospect for extension.
For someone who knows his way around Microsoft technologies based on SQL Server, this should be easy money.
The assignment is in Swindon. If you’re based in London, there is a co-driving arrangement where you can be picked up and conveniently transported to site for your share of the fuel cost.
Pay will be 400 p/d – I will keep no margin on this one.
Answer here with your contact details and I’ll connect or call me at 07721 402 505
Strictly NO agencies!!
Mod note: Don't put your contact details here, just give him a ring...Tags: None
