Extra tasks should really be detailed in the contract to be seen to not be under client control but this would relate to role changes and extra responsibility for the duration of the contract. Filling in for someone else I don't believe would cover this and could be see as an extra service coming under customer satisfaction/sales so really wouldn't worry about it.
I would go with Oracleslave for sure on this one. Use it as a valuable addition to your CV/skillset and make yourself even more invaluable to the client for your future benefit.
