    He should look at this as a skill development opportunity.

    There are many difficult to work with PM, he will have to learn how to handle them, if he wants to stay working in contracting long term. If he heads to the bench every time he meets a difficult PM he is not going to make a lot of money contracting unless he is very lucky.

    Better the devil you know?

    A friend is in a project where he hates the PM. It's a one off thing, due to end soon.
    Now he's being offered another role with the same PM, to be his 'technical assistant', similar role but more ongoing - the last guy lasted less than a year and is leaving due to issues with the PM.
    He'd really rather not stay, but if given lack of options, he'd prefer a role than no role.
    Should he accept and quit as soon as he gets another role like the previous guys did? Burning bridges in this case seems like a good thing, right?
