Does anyone list their own company as their employer and simply list the companies and projects you have worked on, possibly on a yearly basis? That way gaps become irrelevant and you seem more like a professional company rather than a pro-temp/tempy perm worried aboutCV gaps like a perm would .
If I was hector a I'd look at your CV's and dish out tax demands based on whether it reflects you're indeed employed by your company or just pimping yourself out as a high paid temp!
I like to do it as a time line. So I might have 2 or 3 of the same company but with 2-3 sections spaced out between other contracts. But then write previous client next to it.
Although this is starting to take up a lot of space. But I think it reads better, plus it clearly shows that you are constantly in work, rather than having big gaps as people read down your CV.
Company A - Jan 2011 - present (Previous Client)
Company X - Jan 2010 - Dec 2010
Company B - May 2009 - Jan 2010
Company A - Feb 2009 - May 2009
How do you guys put on your CV if you have multiple contracts running at the same time? I currently have a long running contract for Client A, but I do 2 days a week for Client X... Do I even bother writing it? It's quite interesting work, but I don't want to complicate the CV.
If you have contracted with a company one more than one occassion, what is the best way to put that on a CV ?
If back to back contracts (even with a small gap) then I put it as 1 sub section with a bit of extra info in the header and some detail about each project.
If separated by a contract with another client I just put them in their own sub sections.
My CV format allows for a sub section for each role, without seeing yours I couldn't speculate how best to make the 2 scenarios fit.
