Dead Months
Certainly Jan / Feb early March are pretty dead - after that gets busier, tends to tail off a bit during summer holiday season and spike up.
Most companies have year end in April, though US banks have there and calendar year end which means there are a few in Jan / Feb but still very quiet.

It varies on what sector you are on and what the dependancies would be on trade with the Public / Government Sector. January, March/April and September can be busy months. But there are a number of variables involved.

Personally for me:
March
June
September
November
Are busier than the others.
December is awful!

It always used to be September, because of the post-holiday rush. But I'm not sure it's true anymore.

Some say that March and April are busier months since it's around the financial year end/start.
Reasoning behind that is in March, clients/departments want to spend the last of the budget before it vanishes and in April they get a fresh injection of cash to spend.

I don't think so really. Last year December was very busy regarding enquiries for work. But January and February were pretty dead for me.
