I normally opt-out but would opt-in if working for a small, unknown agency.

It's been discussed quite a lot here. See this link: Opt-in, opt-out?Legal specialist Egos comments :: Contractor UK And dude, click on the links on the right side of the page and read the first timers guide. If the search on the forum doesn't work very well then use Google for site:contractoruk.com opt out there are lots of discussions about it.Originally posted by SatyrContractor View PostWhat are the tangible benefits that one can get by Opting in to EAA and regulations ??
You'd better make yourself scarce now because northernladuk will be along any minute to give you a good kicking for asking dumb questions.

Bottom line is: Don't be bullied into opting out! The agency cannot force you to opt out, they cannot include an opt out in your contract (must be signed separately) and they must obtain an individually signed opt out (not bundled with other paperwork) before you are introduced to the client. The default position is opted in so just tell the agency "I have decided to do nothing with regard to the Conduct of employment regulations".

Opting in - Real Benefits question
Hello all,
i know that this has been discussed before but i cannot seem to find an answer on the following.
What are the tangible benefits that one can get by Opting in to EAA and regulations ??
some people vaguely mentioned holiday pay for example , but i cant see anything solid.
As a matter of principle (i hate their creative accounting) and because i am forced to use an umbrella company i am trying to opt in to the agency regulations.
