Nice to see a different SC question.
I guess from this you are envisaging leaving a client very unhappy. I am not sure if they can cancel it but it would have to be a pretty pissed off client to go to these kind of lengths.
There is a paragraph on the MOD site that says...
It would lead you to think they have systems in place to look after you when you have clearance but am sure the client could report that you left a secure document on your desk or something to get you cancelled. This would be lying of course and doubt your client is that unscrupulous. It does not provide a guarantee of future reliability, and all security clearances are kept under review to ensure that the necessary level of assurance is maintained. This review is carried out by Government Departments and Government-sponsored contractors, who are responsible for the oversight and aftercare of individuals granted a security clearance.
Having a pissed of client shouldn't cause you problems getting SC clearance as long as yours is still valid. I am sure when the time comes and they are asked to transfer it they will carry out due care doing it. They have their own LIST X status to consider and won't jeapordise this just to get back at you?
I would say unless you have actually done something to have your SC revoked I can't see a client shafting you just cause you left him in the mire. That is just an opinion though.

I was advised by a Branch Security Officer that if one walks out and leaves the organisation badly in the lurch, they can pass a complaint to the DVA to be recorded against your details, just as they can with any other complaint they may have.
Whether that is true or not ... I do not know.
Regardless, in any gig you should be thinking about your future reputation because word can get around; and parts of the MoD world are quite small.
Is the real question "How can I quickly get out of my current gig without upsetting anyone?" If so, that question is quite common and easily answered.

leaving a SC contract
Hi All,
If someone leaves a SC contract, can there be any issues regarding future SC contracts.
Can there be any problems in getting SC jobs or SC itself?
