When I requested feedback, the HR assistant advised that my CV came across as a job specification and lacked detail.
I did tailor my CV, prior to submission, towards the role but was surprised by the comments regarding the lack of detail as I felt doing this makes the CV too long.
With hindsight, I get the impression the HR assistant was looking for all the information in front of her due to her lack of knowledge regarding the role/discipline etc as she worked for a large corporate and had to deal with applications for all corporate functions.
Would welcome advice regarding how to best tailor a CV in such a scenario.

How many versions of your CV do you have?
At present, I tailor my CV for each role I apply for to change the focus of the CV in order to highlight the most approporiate skills for the role.
However, I am now contemplating applying for permanant roles and wondered if my CV should be re-written completely, amended to include more detail or kept as it is.
