Are you still looking for PRPC consultants? I have two years of PRPC development experience with one of the leading banks. I have a Master's degree from one of the leading universities of US and I am PRPC certified system architect V5.4. Leave a post here and I'll check back. Thanks

On contract until the end of November, taking December off. New contract in India Jan -March. Then doing a trip to OZ and New Zeland until the begining of 2012. This plan has been in the works for a while, so I am just waiting for it to fall apart.Originally posted by The Agents View View PostI'll still be around, worry not. However, given that in the Square Mile, you're unlikely to sit in my core business areas, I may struggle to be able to help you - I might be able to point you in the direction of the team responsible for you internally though. Are you on a contract until 2012??

You can ask your team if the know a stroppy cow who says she would not get out of bed for that money. They may already know me

Have a think about things you say will you? This is just too easy.Originally posted by nomadd View PostFinally, TAV we all know from the past is back. Lurking around the forum, expecting everyone else to do his job for him in these hard economic times...
I don't need anyone else to do my job for me. I am perfectly capable of networking to these people eventually, however, this is a bulletin board for IT contractors. I am looking for an IT contractor and most of your peers have spent the majority of the last 18 months moaning that there's not enough gigs about - well I'm one of the few who can actually do something about that every now and again.
If you had read my previous posts between head insertion sessions, you'd realise that I stand for an honest and open approach, but do get a little anti when contractors assume that all agents are the same. I also object to the scare tactics of most of the contractors on this board, who think anything done by an agent has an alterior motive - ever thought we just want to do whatever it takes to get you a role?? No I didn't think so.
What you can't see, is two 14 hour days which has already gone into trying to understand the technology to a degree where I can make sure a candidate isn't BS'ing me, and then trying to find the right level of resource, prepared to work in the location - This is one outlet, which allows me to perhaps offer an opportunity to the CUK community - not that you'd know anything about offering - just taking seems to be your motto.

And there I thought TAV was using his networking skills.Originally posted by nomadd View PostFinally, TAV we all know from the past is back. Lurking around the forum, expecting everyone else to do his job for him in these hard economic times...

I guess you never got an opportunity via Word of Mouth or via your networking skills.

If you're not going to say anything helpful, how about you don't say anything?Originally posted by nomadd View PostStill, I'm sure The Agent's View just wants some cheap bodies and a healthy profit margin. So all the above is irrelevant. Quality isn't what most clients or agencies want these days; a cheap drone is more than enough. Oh, and the job is in the middle of nowhere. Not sure if TAV mentioned that in his sales pitch?
Cheap bodies and healthy profit? We're in the middle of a bloody recession mate - profit margins aren't the biggest concern right now - survival is - to be honest we're squeezed to the ends of the earth at the moment - I'm not overly fussed about these massive profit margins you seem to think only apply to the agency world - I want my candidate base to be working, I want the turnover to keep some of my figures looking submissable, and most importantly, I want someone who can help my client find solutions without moaning about it - what possible use is the information about what architecture is being used to anyone? It's hardly as if I can control it at this stage?

Ultimately I need 12 resources - end of.Originally posted by SofaKingdom View PostOk, so you have now moved up to £650 for a "few" candidates. That's a long way from where we started. Can you let me know what the rate ceiling is before I submit my cv? Ta.
My limit for one person would be 650 really - ultimately that would mean I need to find 3 much lower level resources to balance things out. This is where the quality issue starts to become a little complex.
If you have a team of lower level Pega developers who can work under you, then I will look at a "bulk buy" approach - total charge rate to me of £1600 per day, for 4 people - as long as they all have a year or so's experience and you can back them up (you're gonna have to work with them, so I wouldn't feed me donkeys if I were you!) - then that figure might even have a couple of quid in it for you.....
Remember though - these are only developers - I'm not after architects, I'm not after IT Directors, I want developers......
