To be fair to you I had and probably still have got my CV up there and got next to nothing and that was mainly a waste of time to be honest. I don't think I have had anyone proactively contact me with anything useful off there so it is highly likely it isn't you. Most people don't update to say they are in a contract or not so agents are probably on a hiding to nowhere trying to find a contractor with the right skills who is actually in the area and out of contract.

Now if you were applying for roles that popped up on there endlessly that would be a different kettle of fish.

    - you are right, 2 wks is not long at all, in this market.

I don't seem to be getting anywhere... calls I'm getting seem to be from agencies trawling their databases, and not much back from agencies I know. I think my latest CV may suck. It could just be that the job market is really dire (which it might be, but I had more calls earlier in the year after not working for nearly 2 years, so I'm confused). I don't want to sound as if a couple of weeks is a big deal to be out of work... it's not.. but I have to get back to work to pay off debts from when I didn't work. One more contract will sort this out but I'm a bit buggered if this goes on at the moment.

Would anyone be able to have a quick look at CV and just say "it's dire, completely re-do", and if that's the case I'll take a hatchet to it. Wanted perspective of those who've done more contracting than me. I think my CV may be too tailored for permanent jobs/have too much on it after looking at the guides and previous advice but want to be sure before spending a day re-hashing it.

PM me if you would be able to. Thanks.
I'll have a look at yr CV for you, I'll PM you
