It will be an ongoing thing and I need to keep control over what he writes, so I think it's best I have something in place.

The PCG one I need seems to be members-only, might be the carrot to get me to join

Anyone know where I can get a good (cheap) contract doc? UK.
How much work is he going to be doing?

When ever I've employed a freelance deisgner for graphical work I've not bothered with a contract. 2-3 days work shouldn't need a a days work on top of that trying to get a suitable contract drawn up.

Start at www.pcg.org.uk and hunt around a bit. Basic ones are free. Members get access to all of them.
