Seems there are two different sets of recruiters at the moment: those paying reasonable rates, and those still trying to pay crap rates.
Average rates are still around 10% down from their peak (at least they are Oop North). I'd negotiate accordingly, but balance this with how difficult finding a new role is at the moment.

Project Management Market Update
I am up for PM contract renewal at the end of April and am hoping for another 3-6 months extension.
I am however planning on asking for a rate rise to bring in to parity with recent contract PM joiners - has the PM market picked up at all during 2010, as I need to balance whether to play safe in order to remain in seat, or push the rise and haven't really had the need to check current market position that closely thus far ?Tags: None
