Never stop applying for other roles until after the first week of a new contract (other more cynical souls might amend this by saying "until your first invoice is paid")

Think I'd down tools now before you lose anymore money. Its a tough decision to make in the current market but you could be empty handed how ever it works out.
You need to tell the client and agent you want a firm decision and contract in your hand by end of play today or when / if you turn up tomorrow, you wont be doing any work.

Subject to approval..
Hi Folks
Got a contract offer(?!) with this global consulting firm on client site, two+ weeks ago. Agent rang and said ,' Congrats, you've got the contract but subject to approval'. Now we are waiting for approval for the last two weeks, no clear message from Agency. Every time he/she says its in the final stages of approval. 7 stages of approval it seems, sure Mr.Brown isnt going to sign my timesheetsAny advise on what to do next ? I'm thinking of dropping this a start afresh search, already wasted 2 weeks..
