Never stop applying for other roles until after the first week of a new contract (other more cynical souls might amend this by saying "until your first invoice is paid")

Cheers Guys!
I turned down an offer because of this one (closer to home, but still awaiting approval !)
Now started applying for new roles...

WSS - If it goes much over 7 days you will probably land up with nothing. Happened to me twice this year already! Keep applying.Originally posted by cojak View PostWHS - You don't waste valuable search time and miss other contracts through it.
If you find another and they complain tell them to get the contract to you be COP 'today' and you'll reconsider...
The contract should be with you within 7 days, after that it's 90% probability that there's a problem their end and it's a gamble as to whether you end up with a contract at all...

Think I'd down tools now before you lose anymore money. Its a tough decision to make in the current market but you could be empty handed how ever it works out.
You need to tell the client and agent you want a firm decision and contract in your hand by end of play today or when / if you turn up tomorrow, you wont be doing any work.

So you are working on site without the contract being signed and being fobbed off over it!?Originally posted by commando View PostHi Folks
Got a contract offer(?!) with this global consulting firm on client site, two+ weeks ago. Agent rang and said ,' Congrats, you've got the contract but subject to approval'. Now we are waiting for approval for the last two weeks, no clear message from Agency. Every time he/she says its in the final stages of approval. 7 stages of approval it seems, sure Mr.Brown isnt going to sign my timesheets
Any advise on what to do next ? I'm thinking of dropping this a start afresh search, already wasted 2 weeks..
