As the Head of ICT you will be responsible for:

* Contributing to the strategic direction of the service, finding practical solutions and deciding how to deliver the service's objectives.
* Service plans of the service, regularly evaluating progress and taking appropriate actions. Responsible for relevant KPI and local service standards.
* Implementing corporate initiatives and ensure they are Embedded in the service
* Authorising spend from significant budgets and assisting with the budget setting process.
* Monitor the budgets and advise senior management of budget issues and demonstrate value for money service delivery.
* Leading the ICT business relationship with the managed service providers
* Delivery of ICT services
* Developing and implementing ICT strategy, quality procedures, best practice processes
* To ensure the provision on ICT service continuity, security of data, contingency planning, disaster recovery, risk management
* ICT governance
* ICT procurement, license monitoring and hardware inventory management

Who we're looking for:
Essential skills:

* Previous Head of ICT experience (including experience of all the tasks/responsibilities listed above)
* Experience of managing and successfully delivering projects
* Experience of managing and motivating a team
* Change management
* Public Sector/Local Government experience (preferred)
* Degree educated (preferred)
