Previously on ""Marketing Consultant" (not I.T.) - rate?"

No idea, but general rule of thumb is take annual salary divide by 1000 and that is the hourly rate so 30k is £30 per hour = £240 a day. £40000 is £40 per hour = £320 a day.

"Marketing Consultant" (not I.T.) - rate?
OK a bit off topic (i.e. not I.T.) but tomorrow my wife has an interview for a Marketing Consultant / Contractor role for a big construction firm. We have no idea what kind of rates these roles offer as she has been a permie Marketing Assistant/Manager at a salary of £30k - 40k.
I'm thinking she should go for £300/day but that's just the optimist in me speaking. Does anyone here have ideas on what rates independent Marketing Consultants can demand?
