Just put the agents down as the contact for all of the roles you had. If there was no agent involved, you will need to advise of the direct contact at the co. If you dont remember, it doesnt really matter, just leave it blank. If you have worked on sites that require security clearance, dont put the names of the contacts down as it will breach the NDA you have signed. I have a high level of government clearance and i still had to go through all of these checks to work at Barclays for a while. It's a hassle and the firms doing the checks havent got a clue and like to lose paperwork but its a requirement of most if not all banks these day unfortunately.

Are you already working on site? Will they kick you out if they can't fill in all the gaps?!

Its a good point, never thought of that. I doubt it will wash though!

Surely as a contractor you've been working for YourCo Ltd all this time and you have the pay slips to prove it and a letter from the Co. Secretary confirming it...
Ok, no, I can't say that with a straight face

What on Earth are they trying to find? Are there really that many miscreants with intentions to bring to the world to an end? Does Bob Shawadiwadi and his pals get the same grief?

yeah, it's getting trickier and trickier to take time off for the old boat run from Bolivia in between contracts. Like it's any business of the banks what I do in between contracts...

My latest role wanted references for the last 3 years, even down to 2 weeks on the bench last year. Yes they did check each and every one as well.

I've had a similar request from a 3rd party vetter, I'm already in the gig but it's a condition of renewel. As well as the usual info for every position i've held over the previous five years they want:
- Basic Salary
- Bonus
- Commission
- Holiday
has anyone handed over this level of info? The reason for asking for it is apparently to stop people jumping up the salary ladder.
I thought we lived in a market economy? Just like the value of shares changes due to market conditions, so does the value of my services! Or am i being erratic?

And yes they contacted every previous employer of mine going right back to my first IT job. If they no longer existed they asked for some proof I had worked there. For every period where I wasn't working they asked for signed self-certification forms. The whole process lasted for the 1st 3 months of the contract ! And if you don't comply the Bank's internal HR people step in and presumably terminate your contract.
Son don't tell porkies as you may be found out and if you are it will be immediate termination. Happened to a colleague of mine who had lied about his educational qualifications. He was gone within a week and he was a permie !
outsourced to a security companies who specialise in this work.

Some of these for me were in Australia, the vetting company do have offices in Australia. Do you really think they will contact every past contract I have done? Agency and manager?
They also want every address for 6 years.
Are all these things checked thoroughly?
