Love your user name dudeOriginally posted by Sausage Surprise View Postit's like I've been bummed by a old tramp......
He had a job, chatted about my previous roles, seemed genuinely interested in me (that's when the alarm bells shoud have rang), gave me the name of his contact there (of course I didn't know him). Then the biggie.....who did I work with when I was there? Like a fool I gave him the name of one of my ex colleagues....OK....the job spec was now on it's way to me and he would phone me back in 15 mins to see what I thought.
My bum hurts now.....

I have previoulsy offered genuine leads of IT manager/hiring staff to interested Agents in this forum but nobody has ever taken up my offer- and at a mere five pound per tip I cannot believe it was due to the expense.Last edited by AlfredJPruffock; 18 March 2009, 08:57.

Same here. I am the angel of death for projects. In the last 10 years there's probably two where members of the team I worked with are still around.Originally posted by Fred Bloggs View PostMy stock answer to that question is- "They've all left since, nobody there that I worked with". In many cases, that's true anyway. HTH.

Viz top tip of the day.
On the wall above where you take your phone calls, have a colourful poster which says "THIS IS A FISHING CALL" in 120pt font.
Fix your gaze on it during the conversation.

Well it happens to the best of us at times. Go have a long shower, say a few hail Marys and hopefully you won't have contracted crabs.
