My client a market leading accountancy firm is looking for a IT Support Engineer that will do a duel role of IT Support and some accountancy procedures. These mainly comprise of 3rd line support duties such as server maintenance, networking and desktop. You will be working in a Windows based environment, and will be supporting the following technologies: Windows Server 2003, Exchange 2003, TCP-IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, XP, NT and Sage. You will be expected to be proficient in book-keeping and payroll or some experience working with accounts.
This is an usual and varied role with plenty of opportunities,
You wont know what you are doing from one day to the next.
you will get full training and have a structured progression plan to work towards.
If you dont meet our unreasonable targets it will be your own fault and we will fire you.
The client is looking for someone with excellent communications skills and a real willingness to learn.
You have to be able to bulltulip like a pro and put up with being constantly told how to do your job.
You must be flexible and motivated within a working environment.
Willing to work ridiculous hours, nights and weekends.
Any experience supporting accountancy software is a massive benefit to your application.
We can't find anyone to match this spec so we'll take anyone who's ever put the Sage Accounts CD in their PC.
Ideally you will have a couple of years of experience working in an accountancy and then moved to IT Support or vice versa.

The salary is up £35,000 depending on your experience and you do not require a driving license to apply as you will support one site only.
You dont need a drivers licence cos you will never have the time to leave site to go anywhere and you'll end up sleeping under your desk becasue we arn;t paying you enough to be able to afford anywhere else to live.
