I worked with them in Didsbury. Good bunch of people although never had anything to do with any bosses etc. They gave you free tea, coffee or soft drinks too.
I'd certainly work with them again.

I was working for a company once who engaged Logica to do some work for them.Originally posted by thunderlizard View PostLogica are the nicest big consultancy I've ever worked with.
For one "management" meeting they sent some trainee along to "watch as a learning exercise" and then had the nerve to bill for his time and travel expenses.
And half way through the job, with the design work they had done paid for, they decided that they didn't want to do the implementation phase of the project and walked away. (Company wanted to sue, but eventually decide not worth the bother)

That's probably because you found a bunch of guys from CMGOriginally posted by thunderlizard View PostLogica are the nicest big consultancy I've ever worked with.
I'm told there are still pockets of resistance left in there although many did a runner at the time of the merger

I work in a niche market... Largely unaffected by all the doom stuff

Interesting work is something of a rarity these days not to be quickly ignored.

I worked for them in Bristol, and it was an "interesting" time due to redundancies and mergers etc. Interesting work though.

Yah CMG, based in Reading though.Originally posted by Ardesco View PostIf you are talking about Logica CMG, I tested some of their stuff when they were CMG Admiral and it was actually pretty good stuff. Spent about 3 months at their place in Derby and they were all friendly enough (Derby was a hole though).
Two gigs possibly on the table, Munich or Reading... mmmm

No. they don't micro manage me, in fact the complete opposite. I also don't give a toss if they recognise my efforts or not, I'm a contractor.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostDoes that mean they micro manage? Do they let you get on with the job? Don't they recognise your good efforts?
Don't mind there lack of IT capability, no problem I've got my own equipment, as long as they pay the invoices.
And, as for them paying the invoices, I don't care about that either, that's the agencies job. As long as the agent pays mine, that's all I care about...

Yes contracting.Originally posted by Bluebird View PostLogica good to work for - I presume you mean contracting through rather than as a Permie.
No hesitation in recommending them.
Just wondering if I should do a direct approach or allow the agent to handle.
So far so good.
