6 PM roles today in my email from cvlibrary.co.uk - I haven't seen that for months - since Sep the daily email became more irregular with just one or two roles in it.

I have not had a call all year, but then I have not updated my CV on the boards since October!
Just as well I'm in a role due to carry on until June, when I sign a permie contract.

I'm getting the feeling at the mo that people are just hedging their bets. I've had a couple of calls from regular pimps whereby, they've been asked by clients to forward candidates to them prior to project approval.
If you aint got the money then don't bother me.
I have an iron or two in the fire and hopefully they will work out.
I've decided against perm, I'm no way near that desperate.

You can't come on here and express your opinions moderately like that and expect to get away with it!
We are all Contractors, with highly elevated senses of self-worth. We are therefore always right, and anyone who has the temerity to disagree with us is a moron who deserves more contempt than we give to the mess we clean off our shoes.

I've been looking full-time since before Christmas - not a good time to be canned due to projects being cut.
Anyway, my experience is that the last week has been quiet on the job boards. As with norrahe, I am waiting on interview dates - companies don't seem to be in a rush to kick off big spend projects. 2 out of 4 I'm waiting on are perm jobs where agents came to me.

Like Norrahe I've been getting a fair few more calls recently, some real, some vapourware.
I think some PMs are getting excited and putting the specs out there and then the budget is getting canned.

It's picking up somewhat, but as well as all the valid gig calls I'm getting, I'm also getting fishing calls, asking me who I'm interviewing with.
The call is normally under the guise that they have a valid role and will send the "spec" (which doesn't exist) to me.

Have seen some a few generic PM roles (and for multiple PMs) posted onto Joberve in the last week - are these genuine adaverts or agents looking to bring in CVs ? Thoughts ?
