    Exactly. Your gig is as long as the notice period.

    50% of agents are scum. But then so are 50% of contractors.....

    This type of issue has come up before. Nowt you can do about the extra money. Elan can effective terminate your contract (with or without your client's agreement) after 3 months even if the original contract was 6 months. That's the nature of contracting, unfortunately.

    I need some urgent advice with regard to a gig I'm working on through Elan. Essentially from the word go (being put forward for interview) this was a 6 month contract running until March 2009. All paper work & telco's with Elan stated 6 month contract.

    The client emailed me this morning to ask me if I would accept a contract extention until end of December as my current contract was due to expire end of November.
