i found that due to the whole IR35 that it is good to take out a good form of insurance and i found Caunce O Hara pretty good.
If you have a clause of substitution in your contract, then you need to have employers liability insurance - as how can you provide a substitution and not be legally responsible for it ... so i found Caunce O Hara pretty pricey but good!

Just to clarify, it's £132 for a £1m limit and £168 for £2m. And you get the Freelance Club with any insurance, not just the tax products.Originally posted by gingerjedi View PostIf you buy the tax insurance you will also automatically be enrolled in the Qdos Freelance Club which entitles you to 3 contract assessments.
Too good to be true isn’t it… I don’t work for them BTW!!

Don't know about the PI level though?

Im in the market for PI/PL and that is seriously cheap, the next best was a broker then Hiscox. What is the PI level on that, it doesnt say on their website and does it include the "IR35 contract check" service?

It’s the same cover, probably the same insurer.Originally posted by malvolio View PostUsual caution applies - compare like with like. My PI/PLI/ELI is a shade under £200 for £1m PI and £10m ELI for instance. QDOS may well be cheaper but check first...
I had it for the first time last year and I couldn't find anything near this price and found Hiscox to be the cheapest, I'm sure it was someone on here who pointed me towards Qdos?

I think the prices have gone up significantly since then. Do a search and I think you can get an immediate online quote.Originally posted by Bagpuss View PostTa, I'm sure there used to be policies for circa £200, mind you I had that dodgy CFT one last time (a few yrs ago)
