Interesting that you see nothing wrong in replacing contributors' links with another without warning. Yes it's your board but it's their comment: it shows an unfortunately unsurprising lack of respect.

No, he was right! A while ago I added a phrase replacement so that anyone posting links to one of the other contractor sites had the url replaced with thissite sucks.com as they had been spamming us and I couldn't be bothered to edit them out each time. The domain was not registered at the time but some enterprising porn webmaster had registered the domain and started using it... Changed to something less pr0n-like this time

Dear all, apart from 19 months in the RN back in 88/89 and 18 months as a temp in 89/90, I have been a contractor since that time, and despite narrowing myself to the midlands and south yorkshire have managed to gain market rate or above subcontracts for more than 95% of the time since 1990.

I was wondering whether anyone has any URL's for "state of the UK contract market" type analysis, especially those with history?

Would also be nice if I could narrow the geography even more than UK.
