Hi Scooter
Ive worked in Oslo before ...if you are like myself and do not consume alcohol its great - you cant beat skiiing at night altough its hard to find accomodation in Oslo.
As for Madrid I worked there - the summers are like hell on earth and the winters are freezing ...yes they do get snow - lots of it. Interesting place but dont go there for the weather.
Better to find work near Malaga or Valencia if you can ... I would say Barcelana but its not really Spain.

Agents are out there who specialise in work abroad you just need to get your CV to them - never stop looking.
Was contacted a couple of days ago for another gig in Norway, not the same client as now, I've no idea how they found me. A month before that a job in Madrid, which I'm giving some thought, rate ok'ish but it's sun sun sun that appeals

Dubai hires cheap Indians so unless the roles are highly specialised, or you are prepared to work for rates that are a bit higher than those in India then forget it.

You don't need to go all the way to Dubai to live and work tax free in what is essentially a shopping arcade...Originally posted by TazMaN View PostI would like to take the opportunity to work in Dubai - to check out the lifestyle as well as earn a reasonable tax-free income.
loads of people over here are already at it:

Might I ask how you found these jobs?
I'd even take a lower paid permie job (well, £50k) just to go for the experience.

Applied for job, got, dint take in the end because of restrictions + it would have been tricky for my wife. We're always giving it more thought though the big attraction is the location and you're pretty much 6 hours flight away from some of our fav destations.Originally posted by TazMaN View PostOnce my contract ends I would like to take the opportunity to work in Dubai - to check out the lifestyle as well as earn a reasonable tax-free income.
Does anyone here have experience of applying for jobs/contracts there?

Try Jobserve ? I sent my CV to a couple of jobs on there and got called back by an agency from Dubai the same day. Procedure seemed to be mass interviews and a same day decision in London. You tend to get paid in dollars and the exchange rate made it not worthwhile for me at the time. Just had a search for the past 7 days and no ads in my game came up so I can't tell you the agency in question.
