Are we talking about software to support the processes? If so, do you own the IP rights to it? Is it already developed? Do you have a lawyer?!

You mean you're developing something for the company? Why not asking for a small fee and then take a shares in the company as the remainder of the payment.
That way the company saves having to pay you now and you get upside potential from sales in the future.

1. You say "you've set up". On your own? How much of this "potential income" is down to you?
2. How likely is the potential to become reality?
3. You talk income, what about operating costs?
4. What happens at the end of year 4?
5. What level of risk are you happy with? i.e. payment based on actually hitting targets?
Also, if you have already done the work without this being agreed, you're on the back foot.
