I thought that reffered to it no longer being legal to lift a dog up by it's hind legs and push it around like a vacuum cleaner.... I could be wrong though.

Yes - if you have met the client, and been introduced to them, then you CANNOT opt out for this contract, even if you wanted to.

If you sign something now that says that you have opted out, then it has no legal bearing. That part of the contract would be severed from it, and the rest of it stands.

If you sign it, with no intention to be legally bound by it, then it's void anyway - just make sure that it isn't back-dated to before you were introduced.

From my experience, it's probably not worth trying to explain this to the agent now - they don't understand, and don't listen. It's only worth explaining when things go pear shaped - until that point, it's not worth it.
