    Hum , I presume this all is true nevertheless the contract is within IR35.

    Usual rule of thumb is annual salary / 1000 = hourly rate. For senior roles, with more perks, make it 800.

    Incidentally IR35 via LtdCo is way cheaper than using an umbrella (where IR35 doesn't apply anyway). 95% of everything is more money than 95% of eveything less the umbrella's cut

    I know this has been discussed before but I’d appreciate any response.

    A permanent job is advertised at 35k / year, but they are willing to do a 1 year contract.

    I do intend to stay 1 year there and get paid through my limited company. I know this is within IR35 and I can save money going through an umbrella ( instead of paying an accountant ) .

    What is the total “cost of employment” for the employer ? In other words how much should I request so that I get paid exactly what would be the total-cost-of-employment had the relationship been permanent ?
