Yep. Warwickshire sent out an email Friday to NPPV sponsors about backlogs, SLAs etc. No new applications for a month is so they can catch up on existing applications.
-
Is this for Warwickshire Police on the national contractor scheme David?Originally posted by David71 View PostFYI: no new NPPV (2 or 3) clearances are being processed for the next month. All on hold until Sep 19th to allow a 'backlog' to be addressed.
If you've got an application already on the go, then it's not affected.

I'm still there now nearly 2yrs later, with contract in place until mid 2023 (outside IR35), so it was certainly worth the wait.
Just at the time with the uncertainty around everything it was very difficult. I actually threatened to pull out in the end as I couldn't wait any longer and got another offer. Thankfully I then got the clearance quickly after that and started the next week

Just to depress your further, mine took a week.
But that was a few years ago, the role was strategically important and I had equivalent clearances in the recent past.
It's all a lottery. You can't influence it, best you can do is tolerate it.

Waiting for my NPPV3 to come through in 2020 just as COVID had kicked off was the most stressful 3 months ever! Was told it should only take a few weeks by the agency, not sure what normal turnaround times are.
